Day 4: Cats & Dogs ....

... RAINING, that is :-(
We're holed up again - this time at the AmericINN in Ladysmith, WI. And yesterday's rain was a drizzle compared to this. We're headed for Sioux Falls - optimistically. Weather radar shows clearing in Minneapolis so we'll give it another half an hour and hit the road. I'm (kind of) ok with rain - it's the water dripping down my neck off my helmet that I'm not relishing. I just asked Jim what he doesn't like about rain. Two words: wet & cold. At least I have a fairing on my bike to shelter me - and my hands - a bit. He doesn't have that particular luxury. So, there you have it.

I intended to tell you about my Sunday night discussion with Mom. She reminded me that my guardian angel is with me. I said "guardian angel? who would that be?" She kind of giggled and admitted that she didn't really know - but she knows that I have one :-). I figured my GA was kind of figuring into yesterday's lack of rain. She must be sleeping in today after the chilly ride yesterday.

Forgot yesterday's smells - MOSTLY good .... wet earth/ grass as soon as we crossed the border and hit the highway in Michigan, a lumber yard (mmmm....), a wood stove and a .....skunk!

All for now. Think of us and we'll check in later. Bring on the sun !!

Jim's two words describing his dislike of the rain (wet and cold) are the same ones I would use. The difference between us is that I stay out of it while he will ride through it, unprotected on a motorcycle!
Oh, and in response to your previous post, here's my "Hallelujah"!
Keep up the good work ME! Hope there is lots of sunshine in your future!
